  I joined the Marine Corps themy senior year. It wasn’t all a mature decision or a great way to pay for school, for me it was really life or death. I had surrounded myself with the wrong lot, and it was causing problems enough that a judge suggested the military. So, being from Wyoming and working ranches since the age of 7 there was only 1 choice the Marines are the toughest that was the one for me. 

So i go into the Corps and get through bootcamp, climb Mount MF and graduate as a Lance Corporal. After that it was all good until I got home on leave and drank too much at my bachelors party. Fell broke my jaw and ruined my face. 

  Moving forward sometime get out of the Marines because of some injuries. Come home and go to work because that what i know. If you want something work for it is how a Wyoming boy working ranches during the summer learned it is.

  Spent the better part of my life from 7 to age 52 trading my time, or my life, for money. I have wore many hats including but not all: Aircraft cabinet maker, Aircraft mechanic, Harley Davidson Mechanic, Semi-truck and trailer mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, Crane mechanic, Cannabis Cultivator aka grower, Fleet supervisor, General manager, Business owner, Field service technician. and none of these things made me want to do it for free. Money was the only reason for doing that to myself.

  One spring night in Newalla, Oklahoma a tornado caim close enough to our house to do damage to the driveway and toss about 25 trees into it. we were trapped in our property and had no way out. Thankfully the firemen came around helping people. Working with them we cleared our drive and were able to get to our jobs. but everyone in the group got covered in ticks, see they hitch a ride on a tree and fly around in twisters reeking havoc. 

  Alpha-Gal Syndrome is what those awful crawly bugs infect you with. It’s an insidious disease that changes lives and ruins you r health before doctors figure it out. We were sick for almost a year of stomach pain and all trips to the hospital before they figured it out from anaphylaxis finally. AGS is a disease caused by tick bites infecting the host (people) with the Alpha-Gal protein causing the body to create antibodies to this protein making the host allergic to all mammal products.  No not just the meat even things like medicine and hidden ingredients.   Trading my health for wealth is over. Now time is not what i sell what I’m selling is skill.  We make Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Laundry soap, Fertilizer, pesticide, compost, and grow as much as we can.  Working on motorcycles, trucks, equipment, and writing a blog. I own 2 businesses but they haven’t started paying yet.  

  I am a disable veteran. I have a pension that makes this possible, plus we sold our house and my wife works. None of this is easy waking up everyday questioning myself “should I go back to the paycheck Jail”?

  Today that answer was still no, and hopefully with God’s Grace I will be able to trade skill and knowledge for my needs. We are a Christian family and i have a massive love for my lord Jesus Christ, but if you don’t read this anyway. If you are offended by me keep reading maybe even comment or share.
